Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1992, but she kept a positive outlook and stayed focused on her abilities and many artistic talents. When it was no longer physically possible for Nancy to work, she passed the operations of her porcelain business over to her son and daughter-in-law, Bill & Leeanna Glasby. Nancy passed away November 11, 2008. The name Nancy Jeanne Designs is a tribute to our founder and beloved mother and friend. To this day, we continue to produce beautiful porcelain products with the same care and attention to detail that made Nancy so successful. We have designed our Hearts for Nurses and Angel Memories lines by drawing from our experiences as a staff RN (Leeanna) and as a family member who provided home care at the end of Nancy's life. The tone and message of this art is heart felt and inspired by the amazing home care and hospice members who worked so hard to give Nancy such compassion, kindness, support, encouragement, care and love in her last days. |
